Sussex Wing Air Training Corps

Communications Training Team

Radio and Radar

Background Information

This is an optional module.

The Advanced Radio and Radar examination is one of a number of options available to cadets as part of their normal training programme. Exam papers are set by Headquarters Air Cadets and cadets take the tests under formal examination conditions monitored by senior staff or outside observers. The examination papers are available at any time but many units are restricted as to when they may be taken by Wing or Regional authorities for their own convenience.

A pass in the normal course of training or at a Comms Team course may be counted towards the Communicator's Badge and towards the normal classification training.

Training Objective

The cadet should demonstrate an understanding of the principles of Advanced Radio Communications.

Enabling Objective

A Pass mark in the ACP 35 vol 3 Advanced Radio and Radar examination.
