Sussex Wing Air Training Corps
Communications Training Team
This is the second of the two compulsory modules. Cadets who have completed the first module (ACP31 vol 6) progress onto this topic.
This is the basic qualification that all cadets and staff should be expected to achieve.
Once the certificate has been awarded, cadets are authorised to use transceivers, unsupervised, on other activities such as adventurous training or in support of community events such as air shows and carnivals.
This level of training used to be in two parts, the Provisional VHF/UHF Certificate and the Full VHF/UHF Certificate, but the first of these no longer attracts an HQAC certificate.
The Cadet should be able to operate VHF/UHF radio unsupervised to the satisfaction of the Wing Radio & Communications Officer who may delegate responsibility to the Squadron Communications Instructor.
