The Shoreham Air Show went off well but the weather was dreadful.
There was very little flying and one of those crashed!
Fortunately the pilot is OK and the emergency plan went into effect very
efficiently.
The first of the two-day modules courses ran at 226 and was very
successful. Only two cadets failed to complete both of the exams but
everything else was a success.
The continued support from the Wing Training Officer ensured that all
students had the opportunity to count the exams as part of the Wing
timetable too J
The new season started with some problems in using Crowborough because of
unexpected shut-downs etc. All courses have been switched to 226
(Brighton) Sqn.
The VHF/UHF course started the season off very well with a 'special' laid on
for 27 cadets from 226 (Brighton) Sqn. Another 100% success rate
J
The two-day modules course was very successful and a number of cadets
completed their Communicator Badges.
Well Done! to everyone involved.
Another successful VHF/UHF operator course; we're well on target for another excellent year.
The BADER course went well and the Wing Field Weekend was a resounding success.
What a super Shoreham Air Show this year! Everything worked so well
the local police came in to congratulate the whole team on doing such a
professional job. They reckoned the traffic had never been better
handled and delays on the main roads in the area were non-existent.
On top of this - the Vulcan displayed on both days!
